Emily came to visit our class today.

This is Mrs Duffy's granddaughter she is 14 months old and very cute.  We enjoyed meeting her after hearing so much about her!

This week we did a rainbow experiment.

We used different mik as variables.  The we added food colouring.  Next we added detergent.  The detergent moved the milk.  The colours moved due to the detergent.

The next day the colours had stopped moving and had blended together.  We found the high fat milk had the most effect.

Mothers day cards

This week we made marbled paper as a science experiment.  We observed the effects of mixing oil and water.  The results were marbled paper.  We used the marbled paper to make hearts for mothers day cards.

Science topic Change.

We are learning about changing states this term.  Last week we turned liquid into solids by making ice.  Then we used heat to change bread into toast and to melt butter.  We are also making a ginger drink bug.  We have used filtered  water, fresh ginger and sugar.  Everyday we have added more ginger and sugar.  Next week we will taste the drink to see if it had been a successful experiment!
